Should you buy a laptop now or wait?

There is no guaranteed best date to buy every laptop. Your deadline, the exact configuration and the conditions of a discount matter more than the name of a sales event.
Start with your deadline
If your current computer cannot run required software or is unreliable, the cost of waiting may outweigh a possible discount. If you can wait, define a target configuration and a maximum checkout budget before browsing promotions.
Record comparable observations
Track the same model number, RAM, storage, condition and seller. Note the observation date and whether shipping or fees are included. Do not use a price for a lower-spec configuration as evidence that your target laptop was cheaper.

Make an explicit decision
Buy when the laptop meets your requirements, the seller terms are acceptable and the total is within your budget. Wait when you can do so without disruption and you have a specific reason to monitor the same configuration.
