How to compare iPhone 16 prices
Reviewed by the Lumu team · September 30, 2026
To compare iPhone 16 offers, start with the same model, storage and condition. A carrier promotion and an unlocked phone paid upfront are different purchases.
Write one precise search
Choose iPhone 16, Plus, Pro or Pro Max, then specify capacity and whether the phone must be unlocked. A listing for a case, installment plan or trade-in offer should not be counted as the price of the device itself.
Try a query such as “iPhone 16 128GB unlocked new.” Check the retailer's title and specifications even when a search result appears to match.
Compare the cost you will actually pay
- Device price for an upfront purchase.
- Shipping and any explicit seller fees.
- Tax calculated for the checkout destination.
- Any required activation, plan, membership or trade-in.
If a discount uses monthly bill credits, record the duration and eligibility separately. Do not subtract a credit you cannot receive from an unconditional purchase price.
Keep conditions separate
New, refurbished, used and open-box listings belong in different comparison groups. Inspect the named seller, warranty and return terms. Where battery condition or included accessories are not stated, ask the seller before deciding.
A comparison example without invented prices
Offer A could be a new unlocked 128GB phone. Offer B could require a carrier plan and trade-in. Offer C could be refurbished. Sorting their headline numbers together would hide what you need to give up or pay later. Compare equivalent offers first.
